SAE is proud to parter with this program to benefit our students and our community. We have seem the positive impact this involvement has within our school and are thankful we are able to take part in this partnership.

How It Works

Mission

Provide students with opportunities to serve, ease senior isolation, and help with tuition assistance.

  • Students are paired with a senior(55+) in their community. This person must be cognitively able to participate and willing to share their time. They cannot be related to the student at all.
  • Students and mentors meet for one hour, once per week with parent supervision.
  • Students develop their relationship with their mentor through time spent each week. This could be helping around their house, reading together, crafting, learning a skill or playing games. Activities are chosen by each pair.
  • 70% of this program is funded by SFFC Foundation / 30% is funded through our local fundraising. For SAE this is stadium clean up.
